‘No indictment’ hardly clears Cuomo for his betrayal of anti-corruption

Preet Bharara’s announcement Monday surely brought one big sigh of relief: The US attorney won’t bring charges in Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s handling of the anti-corruption Moreland Commission.

Such is Albany’s perpetual dysfunction that “insufficient evidence to prove a federal crime” in the “interference with the operation of the Moreland Commission and its premature closing” is good news.

Still, Cuomo should be ashamed of his Moreland record.
