De Blasio denies corruption on pair of radio shows


Mayor de Blasio threw some of his closest associates under the bus Friday — denying any hands-on role in a shady fund-raising operation that got a top aide and others slapped with subpoenas by federal and city investigators.

“I was certainly not involved in any of the specifics of the day-to-day of different efforts,” de Blasio told WNYC’s Brian Lehrer.

De Blasio got grilled by callers to the public-radio show, on which he frequently appears to tout his political agenda.
