First, the release is from Breitbart via Matthew Boyle; and contains all of the elements needed for well played political plausible deniability.
♦ Second, it was transparent this was coming. The “Reverse Castellano’s” play only works if the mark (Ryan) feels over confident about their position. It takes months for Caesar to cultivate the false confidence within Brutus; giving the appearance that Caesar depends on him.
Caesar Trump knows he must publicly shower Brutus Ryan with praise so the audience can provide the authentic fuel needed for Brutus to overcome any internal trepidation. Caesar Trump needs Brutus Ryan to feel empowered and emboldened.
Only when Brutus thinks his travels are inconsequential, can he be counted on to drop his guard and believe his schemes and associations are undetected.
♦ Third, timing. On the eve of President Trump meeting with the Freedom Caucus, led by Jim Jordan, the face of Ryan’s antagonism and opposition, Team Trump – Bannon via Boyle, delivers the Brutus knee-capping that will drive the media discussion cycle.
As Brutus walks comfortably through the courtyard, dagger in hand, the trillion-power spotlights all simultaneously turn on and reveal his intent. The entire Senate quietly notified and previously pre-staged to watch as the reveal takes place….
Glenn Says: Time to Eat Shit And Die Ryno…
Ted Nugent, rock star and avid bow hunter from Michigan , was being interviewed by a liberal
journalist who also happens to be an animal rights activist. The discussion came around to deer
hunting. The journalist asked, “What do you think is the last thought in the head of a deer before
you shoot him? Is it, ‘Are you my friend?’ or is it ‘Are you the one who killed my brother?'”
Nugent replied, “Deer aren’t capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is what am I going
to eat next, who am I going to screw next, and can I run fast enough to get away. They are very
much like the Democrats in Congress.”
The interview ended.
As Donald Trump triumphantly passed his 50th day as the President of the United States Who Is Not Hillary Clinton, Democrat leaders secretly gathered to survey the smoking wreckage of a party that was supposed to dominate America for a generation and ended up only dominating it until midnight on November 8, 2016.
Chuck Schumer approached the podium to address the gathering, his voice a bit hoarse from his recent phone call “thanking” Harry Reid for the Reid Rule.
“We need to be honest,” said Schumer, to widespread laughter. “No, no, I mean with ourselves. Come on, get real – what did you think I was saying? Anyway, we need to take an honest look at the aftermath of the Obama administration and how it left the party weak and…”
“That’s racist!” said Maxine Waters.
“And Islamophobic!” Keith Ellison added.
“Yes, very true. I acknowledge my pallor and phallo privileges,” Schumer replied, placating the two chairs of the Democrat Jewish Outreach Committee. “I mean, of course Obama left our party in terrific shape. We Democrats are stronger than ever. Sure, we lost the White House, but it wasn’t because of Obama or Hillary. It was, uh … the Russians …”
“Plus racism,” said Maxine Waters.
“And Islamophobia,” Keith Ellison added.
The speculation over whether Trump would or would not fire the US attorney for the Southern District of New York, Preet Bharara, who earlier reportedly said he would not resign on his own, came to a close a 2:29pm ET when Preet Bharara, tweeting from his private Twitter account, announced he had been fired.
“I did not resign. Moments ago I was fired. Being the US Attorney in SDNY will forever be the greatest honor of my professional life.”
Bharara’s dismissal ended an “extraordinary” showdown in which a political appointee who was named by Mr. Trump’s predecessor, President Barack Obama, declined an order to submit a resignation.
“I did not resign. Moments ago I was fired. Being the US Attorney in SDNY will forever be the greatest honor of my professional life,” Mr. Bharara wrote on his personal Twitter feed, which he set up in the last two weeks. Bharara was among 46 holdover Obama appointees who were called by the acting deputy attorney general on Friday and told to immediately submit resignations and plan to clear out of their offices. But Bharara, who was called to Trump Tower for a meeting with the incoming president in late November 2016, declined to do so.
The real Russian story is not Donald Trump’s “growing difficulty” in the Russia investigation but, as I wrote in this space a couple of days ago, the evaporation of the alleged Trump connection and burgeoning story of the Obama administration’s surveillance of people in Trump’s circle.
One of the amusing aspects of the story is the extent to which it illustrates the principle articulated crisply by Kurt Schlichter on Monday:
“You Can Tell What Leftists Are Doing By What They Accuse Conservatives Of Doing”
In other words, “if you want to know what the liberals are up to, just listen to the lies they are telling about conservatives.” Cavorting with Russians? It wasn’t Trump, but how about selling 20% of US uranium interests to Putin? That would be something the Clintons arranged.
Andrew McCarthy: While You Weren’t Looking, the Democrat–Media Election-Hacking Narrative Just Collapsed
They’re in retreat now. You may have missed it amid President Trump’s startling Saturday tweet storm, the recriminations over president-on-candidate spying, and the Jeff Sessions recusal — a whirlwind weekend. But while you weren’t looking, an elaborate narrative died.
For months, the media-Democrat complex has peddled a storyline that the Putin regime in Russia hacked the U.S. presidential election. There is, of course, no evidence that the election was hacked in the sense that the actual voting process was compromised. Rather, there is evidence that e-mail accounts of prominent Democrats were hacked months before the election, and thousands of those e-mails were published by WikiLeaks in the months leading up to the election.
Into this misleading “Russia hacked the election” narrative, the press and the Dems injected a second explosive allegation — or at least an explosive suspicion that they’ve wanted us to perceive as a credible allegation meriting a serious investigation. The suspicion/allegation is: Not only did Russia hack the election, but there are also enough ties between people in the Trump orbit and operatives of the Putin regime that there are grounds to believe that the Trump campaign was complicit in Russia’s hacking of the election.
Democrats’ efforts to raise suspicions about alleged — and, thus far, imaginary — links between President Donald Trump’s campaign and the Russian government may have backfired spectacularly.
The spotlight is now on President Barack Obama and his administration’s alleged surveillance of the Trump campaign, as well as his aides’ reported efforts to spread damaging information about Trump throughout government agencies to facilitate later investigations and, possibly, leaks to the media.

“After reviewing the order and the process by which it was promulgated, I have determined that the order is not mandated by any existing statutory or regulatory requirement and was issued without significant communication, consultation or coordination with affected stakeholders,” Zinke wrote in his order.
Zinke also signed an order Thursday asking agencies within his purview to find ways to increase access to outdoor recreation on the lands they oversee.
“It worries me to think about hunting and fishing becoming activities for the land-owning elite,” he said in a statement. “This package of secretarial orders will expand access for outdoor enthusiasts and also make sure the community’s voice is heard.”
